World Record! Final Winner Stats.
August 16th, 2008 under Press Releases, World Teamkill Championship. [ Comments: 2 ]

We have a WORLD RECORD!

The 10-man strong TKC-Community jury reviewed all contributions and found that the video sent by well-known TKer and community member Bellend is superiour to everything it has ever received before. He beat his closest competitor by a margin of an astonishing 185.77 points. In total he managed to pull of 19 TKs in a mere 2 seconds and an artistic score of 8.67/10 amassing a total score of 190.17. Congratulations!

When the jury counted the TK’s, frame by frame, it found discontinuities in the kill-notification list meaning that the TK/s surpassed the FPS.

We’ve recieved a few contributions and the jury will now begin to review them. Unfortunately they aren’t as many as last year, maybe due to host-related e-mail problems. (There’s a slight possibility that contributions might have been deleted when an error in the championship mailbox was found and repaired). If you don’t see your contribution in the upcoming final stats, please contact us and we’ll see what we can do about it.

The final stats will be announced when the jury is ready with their verdicts, within in a week maximum.

Member/Mod of the Quarter Q2 will be announced in the next few days. Stay tuned.

It’s playtime!
August 2nd, 2008 under World Teamkill Championship. [ Comments: none ]

Dear readers, teamkillers and others.

The World Teamkill Championship 2008 has begun!

Let those who don’t understand what games are about know there are people who want to spice up things a little out there. Make them feel the heat of the one and only real annual gaming championship.

They will brag about their very important gaming skills, yell at you for not complying, for not obeying their imaginary rules. They’ll tell you that teamkilling is for “n0oBz“. But how can it be? What’s teamkilling? There’s something more to the word. While the “skilled” players for some strange reason think it’s fun to score top they have opponents in one team only. The teamkiller has two teams to take care of. So, when you’re at it:

Make it good, – Make them taste dynamite!

The WTKC is a championship in the art of teamkilling. It has to be done with style and good taste. I.e. the two components that together with good preparations make a good TK perfect. You probably know how to pull off a prank. The more taste the better. Taste is a question of content, while style is about the physical appearance of the hilarious deed. The setting, choice of tools/guns etc.

If you win you can tell your friends, colleagues or associates that you are the greatest teamkiller in the world of this specific year! All winners are listed on the official WTKC page as well as here. Forum members do always get a special prize. The three best contributions might receive a nice certificate to put on the wall.

We want your contribution before the 11th of Aug! And remember, be creative. Good luck!

The World Teamkill Championship 2008
June 12th, 2008 under Press Releases, World Teamkill Championship. [ Comments: none ]

The Teamkill and Cheat Community (www.tkc-community.net) announces the fifth annual World Teamkill Championship in creative gaming which is to be held from the 1st to 10th of August 2008.

June 5th, 2008 — It is time for the fifth World Teamkill Championship arranged by the non-profit organization `Teamkill and Cheat Community´. This year the championship is held between the 1st and 10th of August.

Unlike earlier years the championship is aimed at a broader audience. Like before it is hosted by the Teamkill and Cheat Community, which is responsible for appointing a competent jury. The main task of the jury is to decide if the teamkills have been made in an artistic way and rate them. This is very important as the TKC Community considers teamkilling to be an art that requires talent, which should be treated accordingly.

Moreover, the jury will be in charge of the important task of counting the amount of teamkills done per second and the total amount of simultaneous teamkills. As such artistic teamkilling while having a high teamkill per second ratio is crucial to winning this championship. The jury will sum up all these factors into an overall score.

Participants are expected to send their contributions, either a screenshot or a video, showing their accomplishments. The three best contributions are awarded certificates that will be sent to the winners upon their request. The winner will naturally be able to tell his friends, colleagues or associates that he or she is the greatest teamkiller in the world of this specific year.

Winners from earlier years are listed on the official championship page where a more detailed description of rules can be found. Contestants apply to the championship by making sure their contribution arrives before the designated end-date.

World Teamkill Championship 2008

Behold fellow connoisseurs of the true arts!

Today the Teamkill and Cheat Community proudly announces the World Teamkill Championship 2008 which is to be held in early August 2008; 1-10 AUG.

The rules:

1. Teamkill as many as possible simultaneously and show us a screenshot or vid-recording of this. The one with the most TKs done at the same time wins. The amount of TK/sec is important, but if the TKs are too spread out in time there will be a penalty that reduces the points.

2. If two competitors turn up to have TKed roughly the same amount of players a jury appointed by the TKC staff will appoint the winner through a vote.

The jury, which will be announced soon, will decide if the TKs have been done in an artistic way (not just by plain shooting). After all TKing is an art which requires a special talent, and should be treated accordingly. For instance the first winner of the first Teamkill Competition Koopa Troopa lured his fellow “honest” team members to a spot where he suddenly detonated a grenade. It should also be noted that TKers can cooperate in order to achieve these goals.

The winner will get a special prize, that will be announced soon, if he/she breaks the record of 14TKs and the TK/sec rate. You can check the previous winners and their achievements in the “Honorary Members” list above. And of course, the winner will have the honor to claim the title of greatest teamkiller in the world of a specific year!

We look forward to seeing your contributions!
